#Mintwit Data insights II

I got some request to do a follow-up & I had some more interesting data I know I could pull and share. So 1+1 became 2. Hope you enjoy it.

Twitter influence(rs)

Let’s start with Roscan Gold. An example of a junior explorer that gathered some attention after releasing several good assays. In ten days, 63 tweets by various posters reached 225.700 impressions (in 10 days). Not bad for a sub 100 Mil market cap purely based on organic, original interest. Not claiming this had any effect on helping the stock a hand gaining +50% on those good results. Some public exposure can’t hurt either.

Word clouds… the most used words in these tweets neatly visualized;

Google Analytics – Basic Data

Stepping away from Twitter to this site (and any other website for that matter), the amount of data google keeps track of is insane. I can see your age, location, interests, device, operating system, spent time, click-throughs, how you landed on a page, etc. It’s basically endless.

Google Analytics – Deep dive

Twitter video

“Rupice is a cash machine. Producing, in it’s first 5 years , 1 Billion dollars or free cashflow”. Now I found that a nice quote to cut out of an interview and post it on its own. The clip has been watched +2500 times in a couple of days (the full interview is at 750 views). Some stats:

Still some work to do on that European shareholder base Paul.

Extra

As I received basic Twitter data from 20+ high profiles, some are asking for more feedback. As said before, you can check your numbers against these yourself. Engagement rate for these girls & boys is on average 2.4% (somebody liking the tweet, replying, retweeting, opening a link or watching the GIF, etc.). For the noobs here, industry standards say 0.3-1% is considered ‘very high‘. Proving these profiles have gathered a meaningful follower base. kudos to them.

Highest engagement rate trophy is to be shared by three fellows;

Neil Ringdahl with 4.1%. Not surprisingly as when he posts, it’s often a hands-on thread on mining operations packed with pictures and personal experiences.

Doug Ramshaw director at star of the show ‘Great Bear Resources‘ and CEO at the ever rising star “Minera Alamos“. A cocktail of with good GIF play, industry insights and a healthy dose of modesty gained him a lot of respect.

Samson Li our own insider analyst into the Asian commodity markets. Often with rumors that come to fruition coupled with a lower amount of tweets puts him high on plenty of lists.

Special mention for @GrantMBeasley (who unofficially appointed me as his social media manager, coincidence?) who had 3.8 Million impressions in April coupled with a 3.9% engagement rate. A true force at work.

To score the perfect momentum, some ingredients you will need:

  • Bull momentum, nothing works better as people glued to a green screen
  • When posting a news release, add an unique insight. Here I advise you to learn from the master. Michael. Michael Horner.
  • Mixing in some personal stuff is A-OKAY. Everyone loves a good dog story, kids at play, BBQ pics or your screen set-up show off.

That’s it for today!

Cheers, Pete
